Platform Engineer — demonstration posting

GMX Tec builds and operates the platforms it sells, so the engineering work is the same work a customer's estate runs on. This posting is a demonstration of the format we use — the shape of a role, the standard of writing, and the kind of problem the job is about.

What the role covers:

• Control plane services: provisioning, identity, networking and storage, each delivered as a service with quotas and an audit trail
• Workload isolation, where the code running is not ours
• Replication topology and failover behaviour designed per engagement, and rehearsed before it is needed
• Observability that carries workload identity, so a record means something without a lookup table

Nothing here is a list of technologies. The work is judged by what survives a node failing, an address changing, and a handover.
